Privacy Policy

This policy is a placeholder pending legal review. It reflects our intended posture.
What the app collects
Nothing on its own. Astros runs locally and talks directly to the third-party APIs you configure (Google, OpenAI, etc.). Astros does not proxy your traffic, log your queries, or send telemetry.
What the website collects
- Account data when you sign up: email and (optionally) OAuth identifiers from GitHub or Google.
- Subscription state from Lemon Squeezy via webhooks.
- Sync data as opaque ciphertext only — see the sync security docs.
- Analytics: page views, and which build you download, via PostHog (USA). See below.
Analytics and cookies
We count page views and downloads so we know which parts of the site are working. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not track you across other websites.
Nothing is stored on your device unless you accept cookies. By default — and if you decline — PostHog identifies your visit with a rotating daily hash computed on the server from your IP address and browser, and sets no cookies and no local storage. That hash changes every day, so you cannot be followed from one day to the next.
If you accept cookies, PostHog sets a first-party cookie on astros.cx. This gives us more accurate visitor counts and approximate location (country level, from your IP).
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the site footer.
What we do with it
Run your subscription, deliver Pro features, and respond to support. We never sell or share data with third parties for marketing.
Your rights
Export or delete your account at any time from the dashboard, or by emailing support@astros.cx.
